lyrics
LYRICS:
One day I fell out from the sky, and I landed on your shoulder
To bring a balance to the side, that weighs you down over and over
Don't blame me for all the wrong, you'll find its coming back around
And when you're looking to the stars, I'll be burning in your heart yeah
In your heart, in your mind
You can't choose a lane, you're riding on the shoulder again
Come and take a look around, and check out what you heard
If you like it you can stay, already taken out of my pay
I don't want to be the angel at your ear, that never gets the light of day
I just want to make sure that you hear, all the things I have to say yeah
To you heart, to your mind,
Let me choose a lane, because you're riding on the shoulder again
I'll be floating around in your heart, so take my hand instead
Finally I see you in the darkest of the lights

OMG, late to the party but this is some of the best occult infused doom stoner tackle I've ever heard. Reference points include Sabbath (obvs), especially with the Ozzy-esque vocals but there's also the melodiousness of early Heep mixing with a more contemporary occult rock sound. It starts in the 70's and makes it to the present day. The riffs are huge but it's their way with a hook that elevates this from your average doom/stoner fare. Very wonderful indeed! egg-magoo
Combining crooned murder ballads with raw, angsty hard rock hooks, Melbourne's The Ugly Kings are a wrecking crew well worth watching. Bandcamp New & Notable Sep 15, 2021
Throwing softness and subtlety to the wind, Stockholm's Lowrider raze a molten, stoner-rock warpath, all fuzzy riffs and percussive grit. Bandcamp New & Notable Feb 19, 2020
